Welcome to Wonder Pigs!

Hello,

My name is Jodie. I live in Kent and have recently graduated university, searching for that dream job, i realised i had this passion for Guinea Pigs. What started off as two adorable boy guinea pigs my other half and i adopted when we got our first place together... escalated into 15 and counting, all from different backgrounds, some rescue, some from breeders and others from pet shops, they all have their own stories and quirks... and i couldn't be more in love!

It was from this i started to renovate the bottom of my garden back at my family home. We have always had this space which has always been a jungle, thick with brambles and weeds, every now and then we cut it all down and say we will do something with it, but then it all grows back until the next idea we can come up with... but this time i wanted to turn it into my own little piggy haven. A place for piggies only, somewhere where they could live and run around and not have to worry about the dogs pestering them or struggle with different cages up and down the stairs when it comes to cleaning time and from this i thought about boarding. Why not extend what i wanted to achieve down the bottom of the garden and set up my own guinea pig boarding. It seemed like the next logical step for my love of piggies and i know from owning so many piggies it can be a hassle finding someone to look after them, and not wanting to stress them out too much either.

This blog i hope will follow the process of renovating my garden and the set up of Wonder Pigs as a business venture.
